The Power Hardware Engineer role focuses on developing reliable power solutions for Cisco's networking products, collaborating with various teams to design and test power systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and qualify system power for new products.
  • Create and execute test plans for power designs.
  • Resolve power-related field/product issues.
  • Collaborate with power supply vendors.
  • Conduct design reviews of schematics and layouts.
  • Perform failure analysis and root cause analysis.
  • Document procedures and specifications for the Power team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer engineering or power electronics with 6+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 4+ years, or PhD with 1+ year.
  • Experience with power design or power electronics.
  • Familiarity with power design topologies and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering tools (e.g., LTspice, PSpice).
  • Knowledge of Board Mounted and Front-End Power hardware design.
  • Understanding of international regulatory requirements and quality assurance.
  • Experience with software like Python, Labview, or C++.
