Mechanical Engineer

The role is for a Mechanical Engineer at Chef Robotics, focusing on designing and developing automation systems for food production. The company aims to integrate intelligent robots into commercial kitchens, supported by a strong team and investor backing.

• Design and build mechanical/mechatronics components for automated systems.
• Collaborate with teams to create and develop mechanical designs for Chef System.
• Engage with vendors to source materials and components for designs.
• Conduct reliability testing and feasibility studies for mechatronic equipment.
• Create engineering drawings and documentation.
• Work with manufacturing to ensure designs are produced effectively.
• Participate in the full product cycle from conceptualization to redesign.

• BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design or robotics.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD, CAM, and modeling techniques.
• Knowledge of fabrication drawings and GD&T.
• Experience in the full product lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of FEA and solid mechanics.
• Familiarity with PLCs, ROS, Python, or electromechanical design is a plus.
