The Reliability Validation & Testing Engineer role involves leading product reliability validation throughout the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle, focusing on designing, executing, and analyzing reliability validation testing across various domains.

Responsibilities

  • Develop product reliability validation strategies aligned with reliability targets.
  • Create and manage Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R) for reliability validation.
  • Execute electrical, mechanical, environmental, and thermal reliability tests.
  • Lead failure investigations and conduct structured root cause analysis.
  • Perform statistical analysis of test results and evaluate reliability growth trends.
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering to incorporate validation learnings.
  • Maintain thorough validation documentation for regulatory and customer audits.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering.
  • 3–6 years of experience in reliability validation, test engineering, or product validation roles.
  • Strong understanding of reliability engineering fundamentals and hands-on testing experience.
  • Experience creating and executing DVP&R plans and knowledge of environmental testing methods.
  • Statistical analysis capability using tools like Excel, JMP, or Minitab.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong documentation discipline and structured problem-solving skills.
