Responsibilities
- Translate project objectives into cost-effective designs.
- Create innovative solid rocket motor designs with autonomy.
- Engage in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes.
- Validate product performance through rapid iteration cycles.
- Produce and authorize CAD models and drawings per ASME standards.
- Assess and resolve discrepancies in hardware with supporting analyses.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to adapt designs for availability.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in aerospace, manufacturing, materials, mechanical engineering, or physics.
- 5+ years of mechanical or fluids design, analysis, or build experience.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficient in test methods and conducting trade studies.
- Extensive experience with aerospace materials and propulsion systems.
- Skilled in CAD software and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher preferred.
