Responsibilities
- Translate project objectives into cost-effective designs for scalable production.
- Lead the creation of innovative solid rocket motor designs with minimal guidance.
- Engage in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of prototypes and production builds.
- Utilize rapid iteration cycles to validate product performance and adjust designs as needed.
- Produce and evaluate CAD models and drawings following internal standards.
- Assess and resolve discrepancies in hardware with necessary supporting analyses.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to adapt designs and mitigate risks.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in aerospace, manufacturing, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or physics.
- 5+ years of mechanical or fluids design, analysis, or build experience.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and documentation.
- Proficiency in test methods and trade studies using engineering fundamentals.
- Experience with aerospace materials and understanding of propulsion systems.
- Skilled in CAD software with expertise in GD&T per ASME standards.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher.
