Responsibilities
- Teach and supervise students in the safe and effective use of metal machining equipment.
- Run open hours that enable self-service access to the facility.
- Advise and mentor students conducting hands-on and fabrication activities.
- Provide design for prototyping advice to students, faculty, and staff engaged in various projects.
- Maintain equipment including hand tools, power tools, manual milling and lathe machines, and CNC machines.
- Fabricate parts, assemblies, and experimental equipment to support laboratories on campus.
- Work closely with students, faculty, and staff while covering second shift.
Job Requirements
- A technical certificate, a two-year degree, or bachelor’s degree.
- Two or more years of relevant full-time experience in a professional fabrication facility.
- Expertise in using manual and CNC equipment.
- Proficiency in various fabrication equipment.
- Experience using CAD and familiarity with CAM software.
- Ability to prioritize safety in an active working environment.
- Successful background and Child Protective check.
