Responsibilities

  • Teach and supervise students in the safe and effective use of metal machining equipment.
  • Run open hours that enable self-service access to the facility.
  • Advise and mentor students conducting hands-on and fabrication activities.
  • Provide design for prototyping advice to students, faculty, and staff engaged in various projects.
  • Maintain equipment including hand tools, power tools, manual milling and lathe machines, and CNC machines.
  • Fabricate parts, assemblies, and experimental equipment to support laboratories on campus.
  • Work closely with students, faculty, and staff while covering second shift.

Job Requirements

  • A technical certificate, a two-year degree, or bachelor’s degree.
  • Two or more years of relevant full-time experience in a professional fabrication facility.
  • Expertise in using manual and CNC equipment.
  • Proficiency in various fabrication equipment.
  • Experience using CAD and familiarity with CAM software.
  • Ability to prioritize safety in an active working environment.
  • Successful background and Child Protective check.
