Responsibilities

  • Assist student fabrication facilities in the College of Engineering.
  • Teach, mentor, and supervise students in the use of prototyping equipment.
  • Deliver training programs in the areas of fabrication tools and equipment.
  • Monitor student open hours for safe operation and skills instruction.
  • Help students fabricate apparatus for projects.
  • Provide design and prototyping advice to the university community.
  • Contribute to the management and operation of student shops.

Job Requirements

  • Two or more years of relevant experience in a fabrication facility.
  • Ability to cover the specified second shift schedule.
  • Expertise in using various prototyping equipment.
  • Experience with CAD (Solidworks) and familiarity with CAM software.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work safely.
  • Commitment to professional ethics and a diverse workplace.
  • Preferred: Technical certificate or degree, supervisory experience, and teaching experience in a fabrication context.
