Responsibilities
- Own design and architecture of complex parts and subassemblies for 3D printing hardware.
- Perform hands-on validation of subassemblies with Systems, Electrical, Software, and Optical teams.
- Collaborate across engineering and operations for timely product development from concept to new product introduction.
- Communicate timelines and major product decisions with leadership.
- Learn the intricacies of 3D printing technology, Digital Light Synthesis.
- Mentor junior engineers within the organization.
- Manage complex supplier relationships.
Job Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in mechanical design from concept to production.
- Expertise in engineering analysis of parts and assemblies.
- Experience in material selection and fabrication methods.
- Exceptional communication skills for presenting design decisions.
- Familiarity with production environments and working with technicians.
- Bonus: Programming experience in Python or Arduino.
