Responsibilities
- Design and prototype innovative parts using Carbon’s DLS printing process.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Engineering teams to develop product solutions based on market insights.
- Lead specific application development efforts with mentorship from senior team members.
- Utilize a hypothesis-driven approach to iterate on design solutions.
- Support product development stages including CAD modeling and post-processing.
- Communicate design intent and progress internally and with customers.
- Document requirements, iterations, and key learnings thoroughly.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Product Design, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Interest in product development from concept to prototyping.
- Proficiency in CAD and design software (e.g., Rhino, Solidworks).
- Ability to create realistic renderings and explore AI-based design tools.
- Eagerness to learn and collaborate with the Application Engineering team.
- Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with Python or other programming tools is a plus.
