Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Engineering department, including mechanical and embedded/firmware PMs.
- Establish product processes and frameworks across mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and software development lifecycles.
- Define and maintain integrated mechanical hardware and IoT software roadmaps.
- Oversee launcher development, focusing on mechanical designs and reliability improvements.
- Ensure all designs are production-ready with proper testing validation and documentation.
- Collaborate with Operations to integrate software and IoT requirements into mechanical production processes.
- Own Design Quality across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering strongly preferred (MS highly preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in leading NPI product development and mechanical product development.
- Deep expertise in DFM/DFA, PFMEA, SPC, and manufacturing engineering principles.
- Six Sigma experience including SPC and Gage R&R.
- Experience with embedded firmware, device connectivity, and cloud platforms.
- Proven ability to lead hardware-centric organizations through digital and IoT transformation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
