Responsibilities
- Product design and development of complex electro-mechanical assemblies using 3D CAD software.
- Design of plastic and metal parts for manufacturing, ensuring aesthetic and structural integrity.
- Perform static/dynamic simulations to optimize designs for safety and performance.
- Document product designs and manage bills of materials (BOM).
- Evaluate acoustic performance of products and conduct debugging as necessary.
- Create and execute test plans to assess product requirements and customer experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mechanical inputs and documentation.
Job Requirements
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5-10 years of mechanical development engineering experience, preferably in consumer electronics.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks.
- Hands-on experience in prototyping and fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with product development processes and working with contract manufacturers.
- Ability to travel occasionally for factory visits.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on problem-solving.
