Responsibilities
- Design electro-acoustic and mechanical concepts for demo vehicles.
- Collaborate with the research department on audio system development.
- Develop guidelines for consistent deployment of solutions as production nears.
- Manage work performed by outside engineering service suppliers and part suppliers.
- Work closely with the internal industrial design team to visualize the Bose system in production vehicles.
- Engage with OEM customers and participate in supplier meetings.
- Foster collaboration and networking within the team and across Bose Corporation.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency with solid modeling in M-CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX, SolidWorks).
- Understanding of design rules for plastic injection molding and metal forming.
- Experience with FEA tools for thermal and structural design.
- Strong mathematical modeling skills and intuition.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
