Responsibilities
- Help set technical direction for the engineering group.
- Identify and create essential processes, tools, and design guides.
- Support Responsible Engineering Authorities (REAs) in solving technical challenges.
- Provide technical guidance to programs through design reviews and customer meetings.
- Audit internal programs and suppliers for best practices and improvements.
- Serve as a technical mentor for mid-career mechanical engineers.
- Review designs and test plans to validate and identify cost and risk reduction opportunities.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of technical experience in aerospace hardware design and analysis.
- Proficiency in CAD software like SolidWorks and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Experience with spacecraft environments and testing methods.
- Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and knowledge of satellite hardware.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Clearance.
