Responsibilities
- Design tooling and equipment for production and testing across multiple business units.
- Integrate mechanical design principles in a fast-paced environment.
- Apply design and drafting standards in creating technical drawings.
- Address technical design challenges for assembly fixtures and custom machines.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize safety, cost, and quality metrics.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and vendor relationships.
- Ensure project completion through effective scheduling and resource management.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to perform hand calculations and create Freebody diagrams.
- Experience with CAD software for modeling and drafting.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing materials and GD&T.
- Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA).
- Understanding of common manufacturing processes and equipment.
- Experience with custom machine design and analysis software.
