The role of Manufacturing Engineer III – Integration at Blue Origin involves providing manufacturing definition in support of the New Glenn Rocket, creating build documents, designing production tools, and working in a cross-functional team to ensure safe and efficient space vehicle production.

Responsibilities

  • Creating build & flow artifacts including build plans and duration estimates.
  • Performing trades with design teams to enable fabrication and integration of composite parts.
  • Leading development efforts to optimize build plans and reduce critical path durations.
  • Serving as the technical point of contact during build execution on the production floor.
  • Identifying and procuring required tools and organizing the work area for vehicle production.
  • Collaborating with tooling, facilities, and project management teams.
  • Ensuring commitment to safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of five years of experience in aircraft or spacecraft composites fabrication and assembly.
  • Experience driving a product from concept development into production.
  • Knowledge of hardware manufacturing practices such as drilling and composites fabrication.
  • Proficiency in Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (Creo or CATIA V5).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
