Responsibilities

  • Analyze load paths from conceptual design to hardware creation
  • Conduct analysis of primary and secondary spacecraft structures
  • Integrate structural analysis with loads and dynamics environments
  • Develop, refine, validate, and correlate Finite Element Models to tests
  • Generate strength checks and analysis reports
  • Create test and verification plans and reports
  • Support configuration development and trade studies

Job Requirements

  • Minimum B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in relevant fields
  • Strong foundation in structural static/dynamic fundamentals
  • Ability to solve static and dynamic structural problems using analytical methods
  • Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, or automotive structural analysis
  • Familiarity with Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna, or Optistruct
  • Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development and validation
