Responsibilities
- Design electrical harnesses for power distribution, RF, communication, and high-speed data signals.
- Select harness components and hardware, including connectors and cables.
- Apply understanding of EMI/RFI and harness shielding.
- Build 3D routed harness data files using Creo (Pro/Engineer).
- Create harness detail and installation drawings from 3D harness data sets.
- Support design configuration development and trade studies.
- Provide technical guidance for hardware installation and support assembly and testing of cables and harnesses.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or an appropriate engineering field.
- 7+ years of experience designing Wire Harnesses for the Aerospace industry.
- Experience with Creo and Windchill and Routed System Designer (RSD).
- Understanding of wire derating analysis and applicable harness standards.
- Strong electrical/mechanical design and integration skills using 3-D CAD software.
- Ability to maintain positive relationships and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
