Responsibilities

  • Work with an interdisciplinary team on fabrication and performance improvements of solid oxide fuel cells and electrolysis cell stacks.
  • Perform Critical to Quality (CTQ) measurements of experimental cell and stack materials and components.
  • Assist in the design and building of new architectures of cells and stacks in the laboratory.
  • Optimize new process flows in the laboratory.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and report mechanical and rheological data through Design of Experiments.

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD degree program in Materials, Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Must be graduating between May 2026 and August 2027.
  • 1-2 years of academic or industrial lab experience (e.g., lab work for credit or pay while pursuing a degree).
  • Exceptional analytical skills, independent problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong self-starter and team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, R, JMP, or other statistical data analysis tools.
