Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks for mechanical components and systems.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to prototype and validate designs through rigorous testing and iterative improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, design changes, and reports.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical designs.
- Ensure designs adhere to defense industry regulations and standards.
- Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for design requirements.
- Manage timelines and resources effectively to meet project milestones.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 0-5 years of experience in mechanical design, focusing on SolidWorks.
- Proficient in SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.
- Knowledge of GD&T and understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes.
- Preferred experience with military standards and defense contracting requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
