Project Engineer

The Project Engineer role at Baker Construction involves supporting field activities and project administration for multiple small projects or one medium to large project, focusing on managing various aspects such as cost, schedule, quality, and compliance.

• Generates and obtains approvals for monthly billing and earned values.
• Develops and manages project schedules for small or mid-sized projects.
• Analyzes job cost summaries and other reports.
• Alerts management about project impacts relating to resource management.
• Generates estimates for change orders and collaborates with the project team.
• Prepares field purchase orders and manages financial reports.
• Ensures subcontractor compliance with terms of subcontracts.

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of experience in construction, or 6 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to read and interpret business documents and technical procedures.
• Strong communication skills with project personnel.
• Basic understanding of construction software and cost accounting.
• Ability to develop construction schedules using critical path methods.
• Teamwork skills and problem-solving abilities.
