Responsibilities
- Electrical supervision of oil and gas facility design projects.
- Design, review, and oversee the electrical design of junior engineers and designers.
- Responsible for creating one-line diagrams, hazardous area classification drawings, panel schedules, cable schedules, and grounding design.
- Create or oversee the development of power systems models, including arc flash studies and load flow studies.
- Work independently to complete tasks within given timeframes and budgets.
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of proven electrical engineering design experience in heavy industrial projects (Oil and Gas, Mining, Power Generation, Water and Wastewater).
- Experience in creating and reviewing electrical design, construction, and commissioning documents.
- BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
- PE License or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
- Working knowledge of design codes and standards, specifically NFPA, NEC, NESC, API, ISA, and AGA.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects under budget and time constraints.
- Familiarity with electrical modeling software, specifically ETAP and SKM.
