Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing and assembly drawings, and BOMs from engineering concepts.
- Perform engineering calculations for machine and tooling designs.
- Analyze and review drawings to define dimensions, materials, tolerances, and mechanical properties.
- Apply DFA, DFS, and DFM principles to create cost-effective designs.
- Ensure designs support reliable assembly and long-term performance.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams to clarify specifications.
- Support build, assembly, and integration phases with production partners.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of mechanical design experience in automated equipment or machinery.
- Strong proficiency in CAD.
- Experience applying DFA, DFS, and DFM principles in production environments.
- Solid understanding of machining, fabrication, and assembly methods.
- Experience with automated systems, robotics, or complex industrial machinery.
- Background in electrical-mechanical integration and control system interfaces.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field.
