Responsibilities
- Design ground support equipment and primary/secondary structures.
- Perform trade studies through prototyping, analysis, and testing.
- Design precision electro-mechanical systems.
- Create and review Solid Model CAD and drawings.
- Perform hands-on assembly of prototypes and flight hardware.
- Conduct structural analysis for design optimization.
- Develop and implement test plans, documenting results clearly.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in designing mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and lifecycle management tools.
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and their design impact.
- Knowledge of GD&T principles and application.
- Ability to analyze components for static, vibration, and shock environments.
- Adaptability to a startup environment and capability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
