Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer role at Ascent AeroSystems involves designing and building electrical hardware for unmanned aerial systems (UAS), collaborating with engineering and operations teams, and supporting the manufacturing process.

• Design, build, test, and procure electrical hardware for autonomous vehicles.
• Create detailed schematics and layouts of printed circuit boards.
• Troubleshoot performance and integration issues and develop documentation for production.
• Conduct testing and validation of electrical systems and components.
• Collaborate with software engineers to develop embedded firmware.
• Support flight-test operations, marketing events, and customer demonstrations.
• Maintain relationships with fab and assembly shops.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 5+ years of post-graduate work experience.
• Proficiency in PCB design and schematic capture (Altium preferred).
• Experience with prototyping and debugging analog and digital circuits.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus.
• Resourceful problem-solver with a proactive approach to innovation.
• Preferred experience in UAS, motor control, and robotics systems.
• Familiarity with embedded systems design and RF design.
