Responsibilities
- Design and validate mechanical components for networking equipment.
- Utilize Creo 3D CAD for design implementation and create necessary documentation.
- Manage peer and team reviews of designs.
- Structure bill of materials (BOM) and manage product lifecycle.
- Conduct thermal simulations and design heat sinks.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers on PCB design and placement.
- Participate in lab testing and resolve manufacturing issues.
Job Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in mechanical design for computer/network equipment preferred.
- Proficiency in designing sheet metal and plastic parts.
- Familiarity with PTC Creo and thermal simulation/testing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with product lifecycle management tools is a plus.
- Willingness to travel for work as needed.
