Responsibilities
- Lead quality assurance efforts for satellite system programs from concept through launch and operational handover.
- Interpret and implement quality requirements in accordance with NASA and DoD standards.
- Establish and ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and test teams to develop effective quality plans and process controls.
- Participate in design reviews and failure investigations to enhance product and process quality.
- Plan and execute internal and supplier audits aligned with industry standards.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes for nonconformances.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, or related STEM discipline.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in quality engineering within the aerospace or space industry.
- In-depth knowledge of NASA and DoD quality standards for space hardware programs.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and related quality management frameworks.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and product development lifecycle for space systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with experience in FMEA and root cause analysis.
- Effective communication skills to interface with cross-functional teams and customers.
