Responsibilities
- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and certification teams to ensure compliance with performance and regulatory requirements.
- Support process development and material qualification programs by writing test plans and generating test databases.
- Conduct mechanical testing on CFRP, adhesives, metals, and bonded joints.
- Operate lab equipment including wet saws, grinders, microscopes, and test frames.
- Prepare bonding and composite panels for small-scale testing.
- Record results, document best practices, and write reports as needed.
- Proficiency in CAD tools is desirable but not required.
Job Requirements
- Currently in the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of college.
- Familiarity with composite manufacturing, adhesive bonding, and epoxy resin systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical and analytical testing equipment and methodologies.
- Strong curiosity about FAA qualification requirements under 14 CFR Part 23.2260.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and driven to complete objectives.
