M&P Engineering Intern

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and certification teams to ensure compliance with performance and regulatory requirements.
  • Support process development and material qualification programs, including writing test plans and generating test databases.
  • Conduct mechanical testing on CFRP, adhesives, metals, and bonded joints.
  • Operate lab equipment such as wet saws, grinders, microscopes, and test frames.
  • Prepare bonding and composite panels for small-scale testing.
  • Record results, document best practices, and write reports as needed.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools is desirable but not required.

Job Requirements

  • Must be going into the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of college.
  • Familiarity with composite manufacturing, adhesive bonding, and epoxy resin systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and analytical testing equipment and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of FAA qualification requirements under 14 CFR Part 23.2260.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong curiosity and drive to complete objectives.
