Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, and validation of sensing technology.
- Collaborate with a multifunctional team to generate design concepts.
- Conduct engineering analysis and documentation for projects.
- Support external manufacturing vendors with process development and root cause analysis.
- Identify design tradeoffs and risks to choose viable paths forward.
- Apply the scientific method to reduce design risk early.
- Run tolerance studies to ensure designs are feasible over manufacturing tolerances.
Job Requirements
- Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- 3D CAD experience is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with high volume mass production or consumer electronics is a plus.
- Hands-on experience designing for a production environment is a plus.
- Preferred experience in sensing technology is a plus.
