Responsibilities
- Coordinate and execute mechanical characterization of battery cells.
- Create and drive innovative mechanical or product designs using various engineering tools.
- Define and complete design validation activities, including testing and analysis.
- Drive failure analyses and design of experiments for design solutions.
- Develop cell mechanical requirements and specifications.
- Conduct design reviews and manage the file release process.
- Travel up to 20% throughout the year.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
- Experience with 3D CAD.
- 3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.
- Master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
- Ability to generate innovative designs and collaborate with multi-functional teams.
- Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes and/or automation is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
