Product Design Engineer - Apple Vision Pro

The role involves ownership over a module/subsystem within the Apple Vision Pro, focusing on product design, analysis, assembly, and reliability. The position requires collaboration with various engineering teams and external suppliers to develop and execute validation plans.

• Design, prototype, analyze, and launch new products.
• Own the analysis, assembly, and reliability of assigned modules/subsystems.
• Develop and execute validation plans and design custom test fixtures.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including Electrical Engineering and Industrial Design.
• Address design for manufacturing challenges with external vendors.
• Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or similar.
• 6+ years of hands-on product design or mechanisms design experience.
• Strong design and analysis skills, including CAD design and FEA analysis.
• Practical experience with DFM challenges and vendor FAI/CPK dimensional reports.
• Excellent communication skills for technical presentations.
• Creative problem-solving skills with experience in failure analysis.
• Preferred: Master’s degree in mechanical engineering and experience with consumer electronics or robotics.
