Responsibilities
- Partner with multi-functional teams to evaluate design and processes at the concept phase.
- Develop measurement technologies, control strategies, and manufacturing methods for ambitious specifications.
- Implement quality inspection tools to evaluate cosmetic and dimensional part characteristics.
- Compile and evaluate data to determine limits and variables for process and part specifications.
- Work with internal and external groups to define quality expectations and assurance techniques.
- Coordinate Quality Engineering functions for programs, acting as project manager at supplier locations.
- Establish audit procedures to ensure adherence to Apple quality standards.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, and quality control.
- BS in a related engineering field (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, etc.).
- Experience with process quality plans, supplier audits, and corrective action efforts.
- Knowledge of mechanical quality and reliability concepts and manufacturing operations.
- Experience with measurement systems development and evaluation.
- Project management experience and understanding of problem-solving tools.
- Familiarity with mechanical enclosures, castings, plastic parts, and high-volume manufacturing engineering.
