Responsibilities
- Design circuit boards and conduct electrical characterization and validation for technology development and product prototypes.
- Analyze and evaluate design feasibility to meet various requirements, including optics, signal integrity/power integrity, mechanical/thermal constraints, and system coexistence.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews and contribute to the overall system design.
- Communicate and present technology updates and project status to cross-functional teams.
- Perform failure analysis on electrical, mechanical, and optical issues.
- Support prototype builds and conduct debugging and failure analysis for issues in manufacture.
- Develop factory test plans and manage manufacturer partners for data collection and analysis.
Job Requirements
- BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.
- Experience in mixed-signal EE design at either IC or PCB level.
- Proficiency in simulation tools like SPICE or MATLAB for circuit/math analysis and modeling.
- Hands-on experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debugging, validation, and failure analysis.
- Familiarity with full ECAD workflow for schematic capture, PCB layout, and BOM generation.
- Skills in scripting, factory data processing, or test automation, with programming experience in Python, Shell script, or MATLAB.
- Experience with modern display technologies, such as LCD, TFT, OLED, LED, and high-volume production.
