Responsibilities
- Design, model, layout, and verify III-V/Silicon Photonics devices
- Work with wafer-scale/die-scale testers for data acquisition
- Interface with packaging service suppliers and communicate technical drawings
- Generate reports for internal deliverables and external customer interactions
- Execute current and new projects from start to finish
- Contribute technically to new funding opportunities
Job Requirements
- M.S. (Ph.D. preferred) in electrical engineering, applied physics, or related field
- 5 years of integrated photonics component or system design and test
- Experience with electromagnetic simulations in FDTD, Modesolvers, etc.
- Mask layout experience
- Photonic component testing experience with standard positioners, tunable lasers
- Proficient in scientific analysis software (MATLAB, Python)
- Familiarity with Silicon Photonics Design and III-V Design (ideal qualifications)
