Responsibilities
- Work with a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team to define electronic, mechanical, fluidic, chemical, and biological requirements.
- Design novel process and packaging solutions addressing the requirements.
- Select process and manufacturing technologies to realize the solutions.
- Engage the vendor ecosystem to deliver rapid prototypes.
- Drive scale-up to mass manufacturing, working with internal and external processes to achieve high yield and low cost.
- Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
- Maintain a research orientation and keep up with scientific and industrial literature.
Job Requirements
- PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Physics, or related engineering disciplines (or master's/bachelor's degree with additional industrial experience).
- Minimum 3 years industrial experience in a semiconductor process or packaging development role.
- Knowledge and experience with semiconductor process and packaging technologies and vendor ecosystem.
- Broad working knowledge of industry-standard substrates, metals, dielectrics, semiconductors, polymers, and surface coatings.
- Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
- Prior delivery of prototypes addressing multiple requirements such as electrical, mechanical, fluidic, chemical, and biological (nice to have).
- Experience with display (TFT) technologies, processes, and vendors (nice to have).
