Responsibilities

  • Work with a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team to define electronic, mechanical, fluidic, chemical, and biological requirements.
  • Design novel process and packaging solutions addressing the requirements.
  • Select process and manufacturing technologies to realize the solutions.
  • Engage the vendor ecosystem to deliver rapid prototypes.
  • Drive scale-up to mass manufacturing, working with internal and external processes to achieve high yield and low cost.
  • Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Maintain a research orientation and keep up with scientific and industrial literature.

Job Requirements

  • PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Materials Science, Physics, or related engineering disciplines (or master's/bachelor's degree with additional industrial experience).
  • Minimum 3 years industrial experience in a semiconductor process or packaging development role.
  • Knowledge and experience with semiconductor process and packaging technologies and vendor ecosystem.
  • Broad working knowledge of industry-standard substrates, metals, dielectrics, semiconductors, polymers, and surface coatings.
  • Strong collaborative skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Prior delivery of prototypes addressing multiple requirements such as electrical, mechanical, fluidic, chemical, and biological (nice to have).
  • Experience with display (TFT) technologies, processes, and vendors (nice to have).
