Electrical Test Engineer

The role is for a Test Engineer at AMETEK IntelliPower, focusing on validating and verifying rugged UPS systems to meet military standards and performance requirements.

• Design, develop, and maintain test processes and documentation for UPS systems.
• Support qualification and reliability testing of critical power components.
• Plan and oversee EMI testing per military specifications.
• Coordinate agency testing for certifications like CE and UL.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to customer returns.
• Create and maintain factory test software using TestStand.
• Collaborate with teams to develop new testing procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in test engineering.
• Knowledge of military standards, particularly MIL-STD-461.
• Experience in power electronics and high-voltage systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills in complex power systems.
• Familiarity with test equipment and software tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in a team environment.
