Responsibilities
- Design, procure, install, and qualify production equipment.
- Define manufacturing processes and plan material flow.
- Support space hardware testing, including tooling design and data analysis.
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.
- Create test cases for functional, performance, and stress testing in hardware systems.
- Analyze production and test data to implement production improvements.
- Mentor and coach team members while collaborating with various engineering teams.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in design and manufacturing of complex assemblies.
- 3+ years of experience in authoring and executing mechanical and test work instructions.
- Proven experience in reducing cycle time and improving labor efficiency.
- Preferred 7+ years in a spacecraft or spacecraft hardware production environment.
- Experience with automated test scripts for aerospace components.
- Strong communication skills for cross-organizational collaboration.
