Responsibilities
- Design and improve system controls architecture including machine control code and safety design.
- Develop controls code utilizing structured text on Codesys platforms.
- Identify and implement system optimizations.
- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams for real-time implementations.
- Launch, test, and debug systems in lab and field settings.
- Develop tools and best practices for system monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Partner with stakeholders to iterate on system design and implementation.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in production motion control systems for robotics or industrial automation.
- 1+ years in designing or architecting systems.
- BS/MS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with C++, CodeSys, and PLCs.
- Knowledge of IEC standards for programming controls.
- Solid debugging skills and experience with testable applications.
- Excellent communication skills.
