Responsibilities
- Provide PCB/PCBA Design for Manufacturing (DFM) feedback to the Design Engineering team.
- Drive the PCBA Manufacturing Qualification process and lead key milestone reviews.
- Investigate and develop new manufacturing technologies and methodologies.
- Resolve operational issues during pre-production builds in collaboration with various teams.
- Investigate failures and defects in production to identify root causes.
- Identify opportunities for risk reduction and simplification of manufacturing processes.
- Monitor product and process success through production ramp and provide regular status updates.
Job Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in board assembly processes and equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with contract manufacturers and suppliers.
- Preferred experience with IPC standards and polymeric applications.
- Knowledge of solder alloys and flying probe test systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a system-level approach to engineering challenges.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
