Responsibilities
- Execute product designs from concept to production, including specification, design, prototyping, validation, and testing.
- Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations for product launches.
- Write requirements, functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Exhibit thorough engineering analysis and ownership throughout the product lifecycle.
- Design holistic hardware solutions for ambiguous problems with fluid requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver automation solutions.
- Create design of experiments and lead automation of experiments across teams.
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering.
- SolidWorks or similar CAD experience with knowledge of part design and complex assemblies.
- Hands-on experience with proof-of-concept models and prototypes.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application to product design.
- Effective communication skills for technical documentation.
- Proficiency in evaluating design and performance tradeoffs for hardware systems.
- Experience with full product lifecycle and meeting project milestones.
