Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of mechanical products to market on time, within budget, and at targeted performance levels.
- Scope, manage, and deliver multiple technical projects in parallel from concept to production.
- Develop and report performance metrics for the mechanical engineering team.
- Recruit and develop team members while continually raising performance standards.
- Evaluate and identify improvements to overall design processes.
- Maintain high-level communications with cross-functional teams and partners.
- Interface with engineering managers and product management to drive new product development programs.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design, with 3+ years in a management role.
- Familiarity with industry-standard CAD & FEA design tools and design for manufacturability.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a design team.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Commitment to rigorous testing and validation practices.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
