Responsibilities
- Partner with internal and external teams to design cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
- Own multiple projects from concept realization through design approval.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for suppliers during project execution.
- Collaborate with the Ops Engineering team for installation and commissioning of designed systems.
- Engage with the team to ensure successful installation, commissioning, and launch of projects.
- Work on a variety of projects including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits.
- Contribute to a fast-paced environment with high visibility projects.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 5+ years of Amazon experience.
- 2+ years of experience in Design/Innovation Engineering or related fields.
- Experience managing engineering design projects involving Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Proficiency in business/technical software such as MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressively responsible experience.
- Experience with complex automated systems and Lean Principles.
- Ability to travel 20%, including internationally.
