Responsibilities
- Partner with internal and external teams to design cost-effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
- Own multiple projects simultaneously from concept realization through design approval.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for suppliers during project development.
- Collaborate with the Ops Engineering team for the installation and commissioning of projects.
- Work on various project types, including green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits.
- Engage in a fast-paced environment with high visibility projects.
- Contribute to hundreds of projects each year, focusing on learning and growth.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 5+ years of Amazon experience.
- Experience in Design/Innovation Engineering or related fields.
- Proven ownership/management of engineering design projects involving Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
- Proficiency in business/technical software such as MS Excel, MS Project, and CAD software.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and robotics.
- Ability to travel 20%, including globally.
