Responsibilities
- Take on mechanical design and development of complex electro-mechanical systems.
- Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software for manufacturing and assembly.
- Develop prototypes and conduct testing/validation procedures.
- Collaborate with electrical and software engineers on integrated solutions.
- Develop solutions from initial conceptual direction with minimal guidance.
- Support research staff by implementing hardware changes.
Job Requirements
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years experience in mechanical design with focus on mechatronics.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software with SolidWorks.
- Experience with actuators, sensors, and control systems.
- Ability to work in a rapid R&D environment.
- Ability to take abstract ideas and convert them into practical engineering solutions.
- Must be in the San Francisco office 5 days a week.
