Responsibilities
- Ownership of mechanical technical specifications, design, integration, and release of autonomous agriculture vehicle systems.
- Create CAD models, drawings, and specifications for parts and assemblies.
- Troubleshoot issues, determine root causes, and design corrective and preventative solutions.
- Create and execute test plans, analyze data, and collaborate with teams to improve tested systems.
- Work with external partners to develop solutions meeting safety, performance, and cost goals.
- Facilitate technical discussions across program phases with stakeholders and drive necessary escalations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional vehicle development leads to ensure program execution alignment.
Job Requirements
- BSME and 3+ years of relevant experience or a combination of education and applicable work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a professional, product-driven environment.
- Expertise in mechanism design, electro-mechanical actuators, high-performance hydraulics, sensors, or data analysis.
- Strong experience with 3D design tools such as Creo or Solidworks.
- Experience in low-volume prototype environments and hands-on work during build events.
- Familiarity with various manufacturing processes, including rapid prototyping and injection molding.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn about new technology.
