Staff Systems Engineer

The Staff Systems Engineer at Agility Robotics will drive system-level architecture and integration for their humanoid robot platform, ensuring the delivery of critical subsystems from requirements through production. This role involves coordinating cross-functional teams and maintaining structured development processes in a fast-paced environment.

• Own end-to-end delivery of assigned critical subsystems from requirements through production readiness.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution across Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software, Controls, and Product teams.
• Identify and resolve cross-subsystem dependencies through technical analysis.
• Drive critical technical decisions balancing performance, safety, cost, and schedule constraints.
• Lead trade studies and technical assessments to resolve conflicting requirements.
• Ensure subsystem designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Actively lead design reviews and integration efforts for owned subsystems.

• 8+ years of Systems Engineering experience in robotics, aerospace, automotive, or similar fields.
• Proven experience owning and delivering complex subsystems in cross-functional environments.
• Strong proficiency with V-model systems engineering approaches.
• Deep understanding in at least one robotics domain (actuation, sensing, controls, etc.).
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulatory frameworks for robotics systems.
• Experience conducting hazard analysis, risk assessment, and safety case development.
• Proficiency with systems engineering tools and operational efficiency analysis.
