Internship, Battery Engineering (Summer 2025)

The internship position at Tesla is for engineering students focusing on battery engineering, where interns will apply mechanical concepts to real-world projects, working closely with full-time engineers on various battery-related tasks.

• Design, prototype, test, and launch new parts and processes for batteries.
• Work on projects including high voltage conductors and advanced cooling systems.
• Collaborate with teams focused on battery pack design, modeling, and materials.
• Participate in hands-on engineering through academic and passion projects.
• Utilize CAD software and engineering analysis tools.
• Engage in hardware testing and quality assurance.
• Communicate technical information effectively.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks).
• Experience with engineering analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Ansys).
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
• Familiarity with HV battery systems and testing environments.
• Previous experience in an R&D lab setting.
• Strong technical communication skills and a willingness to learn.
