Responsibilities
- Document observations and present findings to a technical audience.
- Support the Boulder R&D team with small-scale electrode coating fabrication.
- Develop cell test plans to characterize cell performance and reliability.
- Analyze existing data to characterize battery materials and degradation mechanisms.
- Track test progress and analyze/report testing results.
- Implement existing techniques and develop new techniques for battery materials.
- Assist in planning test resources.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, preferably in a related field.
- Experience with electrochemical and mechanical evaluation of battery electrodes.
- Familiarity with degradation mechanisms of batteries and materials.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or similar data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and electrochemistry.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, power delivery, and energy storage.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site.
