Responsibilities

  • Document observations and present findings to a technical audience.
  • Support the Boulder R&D team with small-scale electrode coating fabrication.
  • Develop cell test plans to characterize cell performance and reliability.
  • Analyze existing data to characterize battery materials and degradation mechanisms.
  • Track test progress and analyze/report testing results.
  • Implement existing techniques and develop new techniques for battery materials.
  • Assist in planning test resources.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, preferably in a related field.
  • Experience with electrochemical and mechanical evaluation of battery electrodes.
  • Familiarity with degradation mechanisms of batteries and materials.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or similar data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and electrochemistry.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, power delivery, and energy storage.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site.
