Responsibilities
- Provide detailed electrical design and specifications for installations of electrical power distribution systems, switchgear, lighting, and control systems.
- Troubleshoot existing electrical equipment, switchgear, and controllers.
- Conduct load flow analysis and electrical equipment evaluation.
- Ensure proper interface of equipment with mechanical and electrical systems.
- Coordinate electrical installations and maintenance with local utility personnel.
- Ensure compliance of electrical designs and installations with applicable codes and regulations.
- Perform code review and analysis utilizing NFPA standards.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 1+ years of experience with power distribution systems, switchgears, and generators.
- Ability to read and understand power and control schematics.
- Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) and industrial pumps.
- Previous experience as an electrician.
- Knowledge of power coordination and arc flash.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
