Systems Engineer - Mission Payload

The role is for a Senior Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin Space, focusing on the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Program. The position involves supporting satellite operations, health monitoring, and mission execution within a collaborative team environment.

• Learn space vehicle operations from factory integration to decommissioning.
• Ensure the daily health and operability of the satellite constellation.
• Collaborate with technical analysts and engineers to resolve issues.
• Support pre-launch rehearsals and early orbit testing.
• Document operational processes and findings.
• Identify requirements for vehicle flight objectives and implement improvements.
