Electrical Design Engineer – MEP Systems

The Electrical Design Engineer role at D.Keller Electrical Design Inc. involves creating innovative and code-compliant electrical designs for various commercial and residential projects, while working remotely and collaborating with a team.

• Prepare electrical system construction documents, including load calculations and lighting plans.
• Design and evaluate electrical service systems in compliance with relevant building codes.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients for seamless design delivery.
• Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Provide remote support during construction and address technical clarifications.
• Conduct site visits to document existing conditions and assess construction progress.
• Manage project timelines and maintain communication with all parties.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in electrical design for commercial and/or residential projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; Revit experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of NEC, IECC, and relevant building codes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• PE license preferred; candidates working toward licensure are encouraged to apply.
