Responsibilities
- Review drawings for manufacturability and cost reduction.
- Support make or buy decisions and coordinate design criteria with suppliers.
- Design tooling and fixtures and specify capital equipment for product fabrication.
- Provide engineering support to manufacturing functions including assembly and QA.
- Generate and manage manufacturing documents and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and problem-solving for manufacturing.
- Oversee installation and debugging of tooling and capital equipment.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in a technical field (Manufacturing, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive and related experience.
- Solid 3D mechanical design experience using CAD, with SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Knowledge of standard manufacturing processes for complex turbo machinery.
- Experience with NPI of complex equipment.
- Familiarity with ERP system BOMs & Routers.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across departments.
